LWNC & Woolworths Pick Fresh Play Fresh - Bring back the half time orange program

LWNC is looking for a tertiary student (TAFE or Uni) or recent graduate with an interest in health promotion e.g. nutrition, exercise, sport science, communication) to help deliver LWNC’s Bring back the half time orange program during the Winter 2025 Season, kindly supported by the Woolworths Pick Fresh Play Fresh grant.

What you’ll be doing (key activities):

  1. Develop an online nutrition education session to empower LWNC Managers and Team Managers with the skills to encourage their teams to bring fruit to share at training sessions and game days helping LWNC players to ‘Pick Fresh and Play Fresh’.

  2. Develop weekly social media posts with handy nutrition tips and tricks to support Team Coaches, Team Managers and players throughout the season to support LWNC players to ‘Pick Fresh, Play Fresh’.

  3. Source and coordinate the distribution of LWNC Fruit Boxes and starter fruit packs to all teams at the start of the season (first round).

Time commitment: 45 hours over the 2025 Winter Season.
Hourly rate: $25-$30 / hour
